All residents of St. Lucia are legally required to complete the Census questionnaire, according to the Statistics Act.
A person is considered a refusal if he or she has refused to complete a Census questionnaire when asked to do so by a Census Enumerator or a Supervisor. The CSO will provide information to non-respondents to ensure they understand the consequences of a refusal.
The Statistics Act stipulates that a person who refuses to complete a census questionnaire can be fined up to $ (xxxxxxxxxxx).
